India’s Accession to UN TIR Convention to Boost Foreign Trade


In February, the Union Cabinet approved India’s accession to the Convention on International Transport of Goods under cover of TIR Carnets (TIR Convention). In this article, we discuss how the Convention might facilitate improved trade linkages via the INSTC, and with the EAEU and neighboring states.
